Here's what he had to say after signing the deal which made him the Supersonic team rider for the next two seasons:
"This is an important moment for me and my career. I'm really happy to
join the Supersonic Racing Team and start my adventure in World
Superbike. Since the beginning of my career, Superbike has been the
premier class and the main goal for me to aim for. The Stock 1000
category gave me great satisfaction but I have grown out of it. For my
riding style, riding a race with only a few laps in it certainly wasn't
the best, while in Superbike, with two legs per round I will be able to
give my all. I'm flattered by the attention Danilo Soncini has always
shown me. I know he has always followed my career with interest and he
believes in me. This is a great encouragement for me and I will always
give the best I can."
CAREER AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Maxime Berger made his debut in 1998 at the tender age of 9, riding a
70cc minibike. At the end of his first season he stepped up to the
highest block on the podium and was crowned as the French Champion, a
title which remained his for the next two years.
There followed victory after victory, from first place in the 2002 Conti
Cup, to the French Young Riders 125cc Championship title in 2004.
Maxime has proven himself to be a tough and highly talented rider.
After joining the Superstock 600 series, the French rider gained
experience on legendary international circuits such as Silverstone,
Imola, Brno and Monza, and several teams competed to sign this young
talent who became the European Superstock 600 champion in 2006, securing
his first international title. From 2008 to 2010 the Dijon-born rider
competed in the Superstock 1000 class where he succeeded in claiming
numerous victories and pole positions. In his first season in Stock 1000

excellent debut year, the following season he claimed third place
overall and last year he was once more runner-up world champion in the
